NEW PATIENTS

If you're looking for a dentist in Edinburgh, we're currently accepting new patients.

We're conveniently located in the heart of Edinburgh within the New Town. Our team is waiting to welcome you.

There are three ways in which you can access our services:

1. PAY AS YOU GO

Most of our patients come through recommendation. If, however, you are new to the area or would like to change dentist, please call our reception team on 0131 5562665.

2. MEMBERSHIP PLANS

This is possible by contacting our reception team with the aim of becoming a regular patient.

You'll be invited to a consultation where you can explore what we have to offer and relay your goals. This will be your chance to meet the team and view our unique setting.

The cost of this consultation will be £120 after which we will arrange a membership package to suit your requirements.

3. TEMPORARY PATIENT

This is for patients wishing to have a specific treatment completed as a one-off item (such as an implant or whitening).

An examination of the mouth is still required, even if it means examining one tooth for a specific treatment.

A 30 minute consultation is required and will cost £120.

Any patients who have previously been treated by Christopher Sale at any other clinic are most welcome. Please contact reception and let them know, so we can manage your transition seamlessly. Click here to contact us.

ABOUT YOU

Helping us to understand your treatment desires and goals is extremely important and we therefore make sure that you will have the time to relax and discuss all of your dental concerns and wishes as well as any relevant dental and medical history with us.

Following a thorough examination, time will be spent discussing the findings of your visit and, if required, a treatment estimate will be presented.

If you would like to discuss your treatment in more detail, this is possible with either the dentist at a second visit, or the treatment coordinator.

YOUR EXAMINATION

The dental examination includes a thorough physical evaluation of teeth, gums and internal mouth.

Further to this, we shall be checking the external head and neck and evaluating your jaw joints.

For a thorough screening, we like to view specific radiographs (these can be taken anew if they are not available or out of date) and review of your dental history.

If treatment is needed following your examination, we shall look to provide a written report and treatment plan on the day or soon after depending on its complexity.

Regular dental examinations are one of the most important aspects of your dental care, enabling us to optimise the maintenance of your dental health and reduce the need for more extensive dental treatment.

Regular and thorough examinations allow us to spot any problems in the early stages and, with increasing concerns regarding oral cancer, an integral part of the examination is to look for abnormalities in all the structures of the mouth and face.
